This Month's Topic

Revenue Resilience: How Nonprofits Can Thrive Amid Funding Volatility

Nonprofits today face a challenging reality: demand for services is rising while funding sources are becoming more competitive and unpredictable. In this Lunch & Learn session, moss+ross partner Dave Monaco will explore emerging trends in nonprofit revenue generation - from collaborative funding models to earned-revenue strategies and deeper donor engagement. The conversation will feature a live interview with a regional foundation leader offering insights from the funder perspective. Participants will leave with practical ideas for strengthening revenue resilience in an increasingly uncertain environment.

April's Guest Speaker:

Lori O'Keefe has served as President and CEO of Triangle Community Foundation since 2012, guiding the organization's operations and strategic vision while growing its assets from $144M to more than $325M. A lifelong arts advocate, she built her career in the nonprofit sector as a fundraiser and arts administrator at performing arts institutions in California and New York City before joining the Foundation in 2005. Lori is an active leader in the philanthropic community, with involvement NC Symphony Society, the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce Foundation, and the Community Foundations National Standards, Carolina Small Business Development Fund, and the RTP Charitable Fund.
Founded in 1983, Triangle Community Foundation connects donors and nonprofits to build a more vibrant and equitable community across the Triangle region. The Foundation channels generous giving into meaningful impact to support the communities of Durham, Orange, Wake, and Chatham counties.
