Southern Village Hosts Kickoff Ceremony and Groundbreaking for Chapel Hill’s Newest Hotel
The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce will attend the kickoff ceremony and groundbreaking of Southern Village Hyatt Place Hotel at the Village Green in Southern Village. The 110-room, five-story hotel will be located on 15-501 South and officially open its doors to guests in the summer of 2016. The ceremony to celebrate the beginning of construction will be at 11a.m., Thursday, June 4.

“The hotel will feature an open and intuitive design, North Carolina’s unique artistic and architectural flair, along with careful attention to high quality & environmentally sustainable construction,” said Boris Bunich of Beacon Investment Management Group. In addition, the new hotel will feature art work from Kalisher, a Carrboro gallery that specializes in hospitality art.
