Housing Matters
Monday, March 10, 2025 (10:00 AM - 12:30 PM) (EDT)
Description
Triangle Community Foundation's vision is a vibrant Triangle that works together to ensure everyone thrives. Our experience suggests and data confirm that housing affordability is a growing challenge across the Triangle for almost every segment of the community. We know that members of the public, private, and nonprofit sectors are paying attention and taking action to address housing affordability challenges in their communities. As the Triangle region’s community foundation, we see an opportunity to connect and convene, bringing voices together within the Triangle counties and across the region to help maximize impact. This March we are coordinating four county convenings, one each in Chatham, Durham, Orange, and Wake counties, with county leaders, elected officials, nonprofits, philanthropists, and other concerned community members. We hope you’ll join us!
During this session hosted by Triangle Community Foundation, Orange County government leaders, and Balance Community Advisors, you will:
- Hear what the data tell us about housing challenges in Orange County
- Have the opportunity to share promising approaches in Orange County that are addressing challenges across the housing continuum
- Connect and think differently about what is possible for creating more affordable homes and preserving housing affordability for Orange County residents
Be energized by this interactive morning spent engaging with fellow community members who are passionate about this issue.
